What are Rundll Errors?

Rundll Errors are something that most computer user experience.  Rundll Errors are a result of DLL- dynamic-link library confusion on the command line.  First, to understand the errors, you must know what causes them.  It begins with the DLL.  These files are files that are part of all programs developed and written for the Windows environment.  These files are comparable to libraries with vital information, codecs, and codes and data that are used by the various programs for various reason and are a necessity to the operation of the program.

DLL files are shared among many different programs on your PC.  It the “home” or “databank” that your PC programs accesses.  DLL files were created so that all programs could work under one bank, and the PC performance would not be slowed.  If each program had it own language and code, they would interfere with one another.  They would hide information from one another and cause the computer to slow.  DLLs are used by Windows to run various computer functions and programs.  This is done through the reuse of instructions and codes providing greater efficiency.

Now, how do Rundll errors occur?

Rundll errors occur when the command line is confused.  Basically, if Windows attempts to load a DLL file that is not there, a error will occur.  DLL files launch applications and programs through a different set of instructions than Windows listens to.  When there is an DLL file or code missing within a particular file, an error occurs or the system crashes.

Possible Causes of Rundll Errors

Rundll errors are normally caused by malicious malware and spyware and can be caused by certain virus files that have successfully infiltrated the computer.   These viruses take over the various files that share the Rundll applications.  There are malware programs that will change the structure of the DLL files that are shared.  These will transform the code lines or may cause no access to them.  There are also Trojan viruses that will put in falso or rogue DLL files in the Windows system folder which cause files to become infected or corrupt in the DLL library, the attempts by Rundll to gain access to the DLL files when the programs or applications are launched.  This may cause a Rundll error message that may result in a total system crash.

Resolution:

An anti-virus and anti-spyware program will alleviate or mitigate the situation.  These programs will track down all bad software, malware, and viruses and delete them from your PC’s system.  However, there is tracks and damage left behind as a result of these programs.  A large portion of these faults are left in the Windows database.   The database is responsible for recording all tasks happening on the computer.  Traces of malware and bad programs that have tried to hijack or change DLLs leave their trace in the registry.  Thus, you also a cleaning tool and Windows database optimization to track down all the Rundll errors and automatically resolve them.
