Shutting Down

DO IT:  Always.

Important information can be lost or corrupted if the computer is not shut down properly before being switched off.

Step 1:
Close all open programs.

Step 2:
If you use Window XP, log off all users. 

Step 3:
Go to Start » Turn off Computer.
