Cleaning Your Monitor Casing
DO IT: Monthly, or as necessary.
Don’t overlook cleaning your monitor casing for a clean computer. It is a great place for dust to collect,
and dust is your computer’s sworn enemy.
What You’ll Need:
Soft cloth
Mild Cleaning Solution
Compressed Air
Step 1:
Turn off your monitor. Dampen a soft cloth or paper towel (a paper towel is OK for cleaning the monitor
casing, but not the screen), and wipe down the casing. Take special care to wipe the top as this is where
most of the dust collects. Again, don’t put too much liquid on the cloth because it might drip through the
holes and into the monitor.
Step 2:
Use a can of compressed air and blow into the holes to get any of the dust that may have settled in there. If
you do not have a can of compressed air, you can use a vacuum cleaner and suck the dust out.
